【Course Objectives】

Students will focus on mechanisms with which social issues on development of community, where daily lives are conducted. Students will make comparisons across countries’ borders when analyzing these theoretically and practically. Students must participate actively in group works, discussions, and presentations about community change after COVID-19. .

【Course Contents】

Students will focus on the topics of communities caused by various social issues following rapid globalization, organizing actualities of issues facing communities amidst global and local movements. Students will then learn how to discuss and analyze solutions for these issues, while understanding roles of citizens and local governments. Students will learn various theories about communities. They will gain perspective to think about these questions deeply. In the first half, students will read textbooks, reports, and discuss about these topics. In the second half, depending on their issue awareness, students will create reports and learn interview methods. Students will form their issue awareness and choose their subjects as preparation for their graduation theses.
