【Course Objectives】

In this course, we will aim to get to know the basic view of what types of sociological perspectives - that capture social phenomena that spread across borders - are available. When the classes for the first semester are over, the aim is that students understand that social issues such as "immigrants and refugee," "environment, " and "conflict" are difficult to solve if they are considered separately from their respective societies and cultures.

【Course Contents】

Throughout the course, students will learn sociological perspectives that capture culture and society. Specifically, in each class, one example will be taken up and analyzed according to the textbook, such as "refugees," "family," "education," "medical care," "tourism," "religion," "environment," "crime," and "conflict." In each class, we will advance one chapter at a time according to the contents of the textbook.
