The objective of this course is to understand the methodology of community research and to train empirical research and its topics in reference to Sociological studies and relevant fieldworks.
Students will read literature related to social survey methodologies and ethnicity studies, mainly from the field of sociology; and deepen their understanding of the basic theories of sociology and empirical research and its difficulties.

社会学の基礎理論や実証研究の事例を基に、地域研究の方法論を学習、実証研究のあり方や問題点に関して理解を深めていくことを目的とする。

主に社会学の領域における社会調査の方法論やエスニシティと関係した文献を読み、社会学の基礎理論や実証研究のあり方や問題点に関して理解を深めていく。
