Students will conduct field research on topics such as religion, spirituality, counseling, "psychology boom", and lifestyle.
Examples of themes: ■ Mechanisms that make people believe ■ New religions and Japanese society ■ Japanese views on religion ■ Power spots ■ Instagram ■ Fortune-telling ■ Modern counselors ■ Self-help ■ Pilgrimage to sacred sites of anime ■ Rock festivals ■ Idol phenomenon, etc.
In the spring semester, we will read basic articles on the sociology of religion, select a research target, and develop a research plan. In the fall semester, students are divided into groups of two to four, and conduct interviews with individuals or groups, mainly outside the university, and each student will write his or her own final paper.

宗教，スピリチュアル，カウンセリング，心理主義，ライフスタイルなどをテーマとした実地調査をおこないます。

テーマ例：■信じさせるメカニズム■新宗教と日本社会■日本人の宗教観■パワースポット■インスタグラム■占い■現代のカウンセラー■自己啓発■アニメ聖地巡礼■ロックフェス■アイドル現象など。
春学期は宗教社会学の基本的な論考を輪読したのち，調査対象を選定，調査計画を立案します。秋学期は２〜４名の班に分かれ，主に学外の個人・団体にインタビュー調査をおこない，最終レポートを各自作成します。
