【Course Objectives】

What subjects will students choose for their graduation theses, the final episode of their 4-year university. What are THE questions in these subjects? What prior researches will students focus on to clarify these questions? What methodologies will students use? Students will work on their graduation theses by clarifying the points above.

【Course Contents】

Although writing graduation theses is solitary task, students should share its foundational thinking, i.e. their sociological knowledge. Students will use textbooks to crystalize frameworks of their graduation theses. At the same time, students will connect their graduation theses to various subjects through discussions. Students will focus on sociological questions in Thesis Writing Seminar 1 and 2.
