No day without hearing about DX news. However, there are still few successful DX cases. In this class, we will learn the latest cases of retail DX. Also, based on big data such as purchase data of ID-POS, learn analytical know-how using Python. Furthermore, the goal is to discover issues from the analysis results and make recommendations for improvement.
In this class, in addition to overseas DX cases such as Amazon and Walmart, we will learn the latest cases of domestic retail DX. In addition, with the cooperation of a certain drug store, we will analyze the latest ID-POS data using Python. After learning the basics of analysis, students are divided into groups, each decides an analysis theme, cooperates in analyzing big data, and makes a final presentation. Python beginners are supported by instructors and TA. We will also hold a presentation to the president of the drugstore that provided the data. This class is taught by a professor from the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence Science and a lecturer who has been analysing ID-POS for many years at a major consumer goods manufacturer.

DXという言葉を聞かない日はないほどDXブームである。しかし、実際に成功しているDX事例はまだまだ少ないのも実情である。この授業では小売業という私たちの身近な業態におけるリテールDXの最新事例を学ぶ。また小売業の購買履歴データというビッグデータをもとに、Pythonを用いた分析ノウハウを学ぶ。さらには分析結果から課題を発見し改善につなげる提言を行うことを目標とする。

この授業では、AmazonやWalmartなど海外の事例に加えて、国内のリテールDXの最先端の事例を学ぶ。また、実際のドラッグストアのご協力のもと最新のID-POSデータ（匿名化された数百万行の購買履歴データ）をPythonというプログラミング言語を使って分析する。分析する上での基本的な定石を踏まえてグループごとに分かれ、それぞれ分析テーマを決めて、互いに協力しながらビッグデータ分析を行い最終発表する。なお、Python初学者には、教員、TAによるサポートを行う。 また、分析内容は、データを提供頂いたドラッグストアの社長へ報告会も行う。尚、本授業は人工知能科学研究科教授と大手日用品メーカーで長年ID-POS分析を行なっている現役の社会人兼任講師が担当する。

授業内・外でSlackを使い、Slack上で、各グループでディスカッション、進捗状況報告などを適宜、進めてもらう。また、Pythonプログラミングのサポート、エラー対応なども、ここで行う。
授業内の最終発表会とは別に、データをご提供頂いたドラッグストア企業の社長への報告会も開催する。
企業のトップへのプレゼンテーションの機会を学生時代から持てることは、非常に貴重な体験になるはずである。
