【Course Objectives】

Students will learn the basic knowledge and ways of thinking in media and communication studies through reading English literature. While improving their English reading skills, students will acquire the basic skills necessary for research (learning), such as how to write resumes, how to make presentations, and how to discuss in seminar-style classes. In addition, students will acquire the ability to think and discuss bilingually in English and Japanese.

【Course Contents】

Through reading English literature on media and communication studies, students will systematically learn the basics of media and communication studies. The course will be structured in such a way that students will be able to enhance their ability to think logically, critically, and independently while encouraging the students to be exposed to a variety of views and ways of thinking through the use of current materials such as news articles following the themes and topics covered.
