After learning the social role that the media should play, we will create “persons who can think and act on their own”.
Calculating backwards from working in society, we will specifically develop the skills and ways of thinking that are required. With the slogans "Let's touch the real thing" and "The seminar is a place to practice," discussions with guest speakers who are active in the media, debates, watching videos, watching plays (after reading books and listening to the performers) , Appreciation of the World Press Photo Exhibition, etc. What you put into practice will be communicated to others through impressions and reportage, etc., and evaluated by all seminar students. Students will give individual presentations based on their own interests in the spring and fall semesters. Through this kind of practice, we will improve our ability to see subjectivity objectively. Based on the seminar camp, we will formulate an annual theme and plan to hold a presentation.
Now, the media is facing a "world without correct answers". We are looking for students who have the courage and motivation to actively pursue it.

メディアの果たすべき社会的役割を学んだうえで，「自ら考え行動できる人」を作る。
After learning the social role that the media should play, we will create “persons who can think and act on their own”.
社会で働くことから逆算して、必要とされるスキル、考え方を具体的に養成する。「本物に触れよう」「ゼミは練習の場」を合い言葉に、メディアで活躍しているゲストスピーカーとの議論、ディベート、映像鑑賞、芝居鑑賞（本を読み、演者に話しを聞いたうえで）、世界報道写真展鑑賞など様々な実践を行う。実践したものは感想、ルポルタージュなどで他者に伝え、ゼミ生全員で評価する。春学期・秋学期それぞれで自分の関心に基づく個人発表を行う。このような実践で、主観を客観視できる技量を磨いていく。ゼミ合宿を基に年間テーマを策定し、発表会の開催を予定する。
今，メディアは“正解のない世界”を迎えている。そこに積極的に乗り出す勇気と意欲をもった学生を求める。
