Students will determine their subjects and discuss prior researches in the first half of their thesis writing.
This seminar will be the final episode of College of Sociology. Students will receive instructions at writing graduation theses on mass media and communication.
To write their theses, students must clarify their questions. In addition, students must select the most appropriate materials to solve their questions. Although not easy, students will complete these tasks by discussing with classmates in this seminar.
Furthermore, students will read prior researches related to their chosen subjects to deepen their understanding about research methods and contents.

卒業論文作成のための前半作業として，テーマの決定と先行研究の検討を行う。
Students will determine their subjects and discuss prior researches in the first half of their thesis writing.
この演習では，社会学部で学んだことの集大成として，マス・メディアやコミュニケーションに関する卒業論文を書こうとする学生を指導する。
論文を書くためには，自分なりの問いをはっきりさせる必要がある。そしてそれを解明するのに最もふさわしい題材を選択することが要求される。この作業は決して楽なものではないが，演習に参加するメンバーとの討論を通して，明確にしていく。
また，自分の選択したテーマに関する先行研究を読み込んで，内容や研究方法についての理解を深める。

本授業は少人数の演習形式である。自分自身の卒論作成のために，文献を読み，問題意識を明確にすることはもちろんのこと，他の履修者の発表に際しても，積極的に発言することが期待される。
全授業回のうち、７回以下のオンライン授業を実施する。オンライン実施回については授業支援システム（Canvas LMS、Blackboard等）で指示する。
