Acquiring basic knowledge about the meaning of social research and its various types, as well as the methodological foundation of sociological research.
We deal with the fundamentals of the process from data collection to data analysis, such as history of social research, purpose of social research, research methodology, research ethics, types and examples of social surveys, quantitative and qualitative social research.

社会調査の意義と諸類型に関する基本事項を理解し，社会学研究の方法的基礎を身につける。
Acquiring basic knowledge about the meaning of social research and its various types, as well as the methodological foundation of sociological research.
社会調査史，社会調査の目的，調査方法論，調査倫理，調査の種類と実例，量的調査と質的調査など，資料やデータの収集から分析までの諸過程に関する基礎的な事項を，実例をもとに概説する。
We deal with the fundamentals of the process from data collection to data analysis, such as history of social research, purpose of social research, research methodology, research ethics, types and examples of social surveys, quantitative and qualitative social research.
