This course is the second step in learning about social surveys and provides the methodology of planning, collecting, and managing data. It covers both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
This course provides information about the procedures of social survey methodology. Regarding qualitative methodology, the lecturer introduces some classics of sociology using qualitative methodologies, and discusses the methods of choosing topics, managing and interpreting the data, and constructing relationships with informants. With regard to quantitative methodology, the lecturer explains the procedures of conducting a questionnaire survey, including sampling, editing, coding, and data cleansing.

社会調査法１の内容を踏まえて、社会調査の設計と実施方法について，質的調査法と量的調査法に分け，調査の企画・設計，データの収集・整理・分析までを講義する。
This course is the second step in learning about social surveys and provides the methodology of planning, collecting, and managing data. It covers both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
社会調査の具体的な手順や方法を検討する。質的調査法では，その種類と代表的な作品，テーマの設定，調査対象者との関係形成，データの整理と分析・解釈をあつかう。量的調査法では，調査票調査の企画・設計・実施方法，調査票の作成，サンプリングの意味と方法，実査，エディティング，コーディング，データ・クリーニングについてあつかう。
This course provides information about the procedures of social survey methodology. 社会調査法１の内容を十分に理解していることを前提として授業を進める。必要に応じて社会調査法１の復習をすること。また、各回の授業後はテキストを参照しながら復習すること。
毎回の授業の動画配信と同時に課題を出すので、期限までに課題をこなして提出すること。
