Through learning processes of social research, students will facilitate the development of insight into understanding of others .
This course focus on fieldwork and life story research. Students will learn social research processes including selecting research theme, collecting, interpreting, and writing papers on qualitative data. It is important to understand that social research is communication with others, and to think deeply about understanding of others.

本講義では社会調査の一連の過程を学ぶことを通して、「他者を理解すること」について洞察を深めることを目指します。
Through learning processes of social research, students will facilitate the development of insight into understanding of others .
フィールドワークとライフストーリー研究に焦点を当て、調査テーマの探索、データの収集・解釈、調査成果の執筆という一連の過程について、「コミュニケーションとしての社会調査」という見地から解説します。かなり実践的な内容になりますが、単に社会調査の技法を学ぶことが目的ではありません。社会調査の実際に触れながら「他者を理解すること」について考えを巡らせることが大事です。
