【Course Objectives】

1. To learn the basic ideas and the development of ethnomethodological research.
2. To become familiar with the analytical methods for understanding social phenomena related to a wide variety of topics, such as conversation, hobbies, work, culture, history, and science.

【Course Contents】

In this course, you will learn, in a practical way, the basic ideas and the development of a research policy called ethnomethodology that emerged from sociology, including consideration of its relationship with philosophical investigations.
We will also explore clues to working out practical issues in our own social lives and solving theoretical issues in sociology and related fields.
