This course aims to equip students with active leaning tools to:
1) Evaluate and discuss critically the role of global actors in shaping international political outcomes.
2) Analyze current global problems and also to devise solutions as a global citizen
This course assists that students will learn about the international system, global actors, and issues that shape the priorities and behavior of states and other actors in that system. The course will also examine the future role of Japan and Japan’s diplomacy in the globalized world. The relationships with the United Sates and other countries are also analyzed to help understand Japan’s foreign policy making and objectives.

グローバル化と反グローバル化が衝突する国際環境に目を向け、国家や個人、そしてグローバル市民社会の役割を意識し、今日の地球規模の諸問題について考察し分析することを目標とします。地球社会で活躍するために必要な「社会学的想像力」を、日本の国際関係を客観的に検証することで養いましょう。
This course aims to equip students with active leaning tools to:

「グローバリゼーションとは、何か」について改めて検証し、国際関係論の基礎概念と現代国際政治の変動や転換を学び、日本国内の社会問題解決にも、グローバルな視野が不可欠であることを再確認します。海外に一歩出れば、一個人は草の根レベルの外交官でもあることにも気づき、地球社会の諸問題について自ら考え行動するための基礎力の習得も目指します。身近な出来事にも「グローバル」な視野でクリティカル・シンキングを働かせ、問題意識を持つ練習を授業中に実施します。
