基礎科目（一般） 定員：30名 当科目は本学の新型コロナウイルス感染症感染拡大防止のための活動制限指針が制限レベル2もしくは3であっても対面授業のみの開講となり、ミックス型対応はしないので注意すること。 |
In this course, students will learn to engage with texts on aesthetics, seek and peruse relevant literature on their own, and write reports that articulate their thoughts on the subject.
Lectures for this course will be primarily based on reading material (second half of the text mentioned below) combined with examples of musical pieces (Mendelssohn’s Oratorios "Paulus" and "Elias"). This course will take a scholarly approach to music and students should be aware that it is not a music appreciation course. Students should also have a basic knowledge of music and music history, be actively interested in music and demonstrate a desire to learn more.

専門書の記述を理解し、関連文献を自ら探索、読破した上で、最終的に自らの考えをレポートにまとめる。
In this course, students will learn to engage with texts on aesthetics, seek and peruse relevant literature on their own, and write reports that articulate their thoughts on the subject.
下記テキストの後半の講読を核にした講義。新約聖書および旧約聖書を題材としたメンデルスゾーンのオラトリオ《パウロ》と《エリヤ》に焦点をあて、歌詞と音楽の分析を交えて論じる。履修者が自らの経験や問題意識と結びつけて作品や演奏のあり方を把握し、音楽について独自の考えを美学的、学術的に深めるよう促す。音楽への学問的アプローチであり、いわゆる音楽鑑賞ではない点に留意してほしい。音楽と音楽史の基礎知識を前提とするので、積極的な関心と意欲が必須。
