The course is designed for students to learn some major features of group and organizational phenomena from the perspectives of communication and cultural diversity. For that purpose, the students will learn key concepts and theories regarding group and organizational communication in order to analyze actual instances of group and organizational communication.
The course will cover relevant concepts and theories of group and organizational communication as well as a wide range of topics such as leadership and corporate social responsibilities.
The course will provide students with many opportunities to discuss and collaboratively analyze cases of communicative and cultural issues observed in groups and organizations.

本授業は、受講生が集団・組織の現象についてコミュニケーションと文化的多様性という観点から学ぶためのものである。また、受講生は、集団・組織における様々な現象を分析、考察するうえで有用なコミュニケーションと文化的多様性に関する鍵概念や理論を学び、それらを用いて特定の集団・組織について分析、考察できるようになることを目標とする。
The course is designed for students to learn some major features of group and organizational phenomena from the perspectives of communication and cultural diversity. For that purpose, the students will learn key concepts and theories regarding group and organizational communication in order to analyze actual instances of group and organizational communication.
集団・組織コミュニケーションの研究に関わる諸概念・理論ならびに幅広いトピック（例：リーダーシップ、企業の社会的責任）を扱う。とりわけ、コミュニケーションや文化が関わる諸問題に焦点を当て、それらの原因について考えるうえで役立つ学問的知見をカバーする。授業では、講義やグループディスカッションに加え、受講生には、グループで分析・考察した内容について発表をしてもらい、その内容について他の受講生や教員と議論し、理解を深めていく。
The course will cover relevant concepts and theories of group and organizational communication as well as a wide range of topics such as leadership and corporate social responsibilities.

授業前は、配布される論文等の資料を読んでおくこと。授業後は、組織コミュニケーションの理解を助けるキーワードや分析概念を復習し、それらが当てはまる実際の事例を自分なりに探し、事例を分析・考察した内容をリサーチ・ノートにまとめておくこと。
