【Course Objectives】

The goal of this seminar is for students to determine themes and acquire skill required for Senior Research and Thesis. Classes are conducted to help students understand the fundamental elements (research questions, methodologies, etc.) in conducting research.

【Course Contents】

This seminar discusses specific research topics and methods used in Translation and Interpreting Studies in order for students to acquire basic skills to develop research of their interest. It also introduces how to use databases and search for information to help students determine topics and methods for Senior Research and Thesis. In the second half, students are required to work on a translation research project and make presentations in class.
