Students will continue investigative research on the chosen topic and complete the thesis. As part of this process students will learn what it is like to write an academic paper, and what it means to build a convincing argument.
Following Advanced Seminar 2, and taking a more focused approach to the issue, students will continue to read references that would be useful to shape the argument, report and discuss them. Students will will write the thesis chapter by chapter and complete it through a process of repeated editing and rewriting.

自ら設定したテーマについて調査研究を継続し、論文を完成させる。その過程で学術論文を書くということはどういうことか、読者を説得できる論を組み立てるということはどういうことか学ぶ。

専門演習２に引き続き、更に焦点を絞った問題点に対して自分の論理や主張を形成するために役立つ文献を探して読み、報告、討議を重ねる傍ら、論文の構成を最終的に固めていく。また、章ごとに第一草稿の執筆を始め、添削、書き直しを繰り返すことによって、筋の通った、自分で納得のいく論文を完成させる。
