The objective of this course is to acquire basic knowledge concerning the government structure established by the Constitution by understanding the details of the theories and judicial precedents including the laws and ordinances associated with the Constitution in regard to the system of government established by Japanese Constitutional Law.
The classes will discuss the position and authority of government institutions such as the National Diet, Cabinet, and the courts as well as their specific operational issues while also providing an outline of the fundamental principles of the constitutional and democratic system that these government organizations rely on.

日本国憲法が定める統治のしくみに関して、憲法付属法令を含めて、学説や判例の内容を理解することで、憲法が定める統治構造をめぐる基本的知識の修得を目標とする。

国会、内閣、裁判所などの国家機関の地位と権限、具体的運用上の問題点を論ずるとともに、それらの統治機構が依拠する立憲民主制などの基本原理についても概説する。
