The objective of this course is to achieve a basic understanding of the general theory of claims and Contract Law.
The classes will cover the so-called general theory of claims (however not including claims and obligations of multiple-parties, subrogation by performance, set-offs and obligee's subrogation right,) and the field of Contract Law within the "Claims" section in Part III of the Civil Code with the exception of negotiorum gestio (management of Business), torts, and unjust enrichment. While there are a great number of matters which should be explained, the class will not necessarily touch on all issues, because the lecture time is limited. However, summaries will be used to explain while keeping in mind the importance of a clear picture. Furthermore, the lectures will be conducted based on the revised Civil Code which will be enforced from April 1, 2020.

債権総論・契約法について，基本的な理解を得る。

民法典の第三編「債権」のうち，事務管理・不当利得・不法行為を除いた部分，いわゆる債権総論（ただし,多数当事者の債権関係，弁済による代位，相殺を除く）と契約法の分野を扱う。解説すべき事柄が極めて多い一方で，講義時間が限られているので，必ずしもすべての問題点に触れることはできないが，レジュメを用いて，具体的なイメージを大切にしながら解説したい。なお、講義内容は、2020年4月1日施行の改正民法に基づいて行う。
