Learn present dispute resolution systems for cross-border commercial disputes in Japan and other countries.
Main focus will be placed on transnational litigation, international commercial arbitration and cross-border bankruptcy. Combination of lecture and class discussion. Participants are encouraged to actively participate in class discussion.

グローバル化の進む現代における私人・私企業間の国際的な紛争の解決方法の基本構造を英語による講義を通じて修得させる。
Learn present dispute resolution systems for cross-border commercial disputes in Japan and other countries.
日本企業と外国企業の間で紛争が生じたとき，どの国の裁判所で解決されるのでしょうか。外国企業を相手に訴訟を行う場合，どういった点に配慮する必要があるのでしょうか。外国で判決が下された場合に，それは我が国にどのような影響をもたらすのでしょうか。
国際民事手続法とは，各国ごとに法制度が異なるという現在の国際社会の状況の下，国際的な民事紛争をどのように解決するかを規律する法です。国際化がますます進展する現代において，その重要性は拡大の一途をたどっています。
講義では，我が国の国際民事手続法の基本構造をできる限り丁寧に説明することで，ときに難解ともいわれるこの法をわかりやすく解説することを心掛けます。
なお、本講義はすべて英語により行われます。英語による講義のヒヤリング能力の向上に意欲的な学生の参加を待っています。
