【Course Objectives】

 The objectives of this course are for students to gain a fundamental understanding of legal professions such as lawyer, judge, prosecutor, legal scrivener, and patent attorney as well as the judicial system and judicial officer training for the purpose of cultivating the fundamental knowledge and attitude which will help them find employment in the legal profession and law related institutions, pass the preliminary examination, and go on to law school.

【Course Contents】

 The classes will consist of lectures concerning law related professions, the legal system, and the judicial officer training system as well as sessions in which guest speakers will be invited. The guest speaker sessions will convey the appeal of working as a legal professional (lawyer, judge, public prosecutor), various professional occupations (legal scrivener, patent attorney, etc.), and in corporate legal departments (in-house corporate lawyer) through Q&A sessions primarily with graduates of the university's College of Law and Politics undergraduate and graduate school programs.
