By the end of the course, students will gain a deep understanding of the constitutional cases which are covered in the course.
In this course, we will read some constitutional cases in the original text. We regard the quality of reading as important, rather than its quantity, so it may take more than one class to study a constitutional case. We will also read some documents which may help to understand these cases, such as commentaries written by scholars or clerks (Judicial Research Officials of Supreme Court of Japan), and academic papers.
In each class, some students will be assigned to summarize a case or a document. Those students will be required to write a handout in advance and to make a presentation.

この演習の目的は、憲法判例を読み、対象判例に対する深い理解を獲得することにある。
By the end of the course, students will gain a deep understanding of the constitutional cases which are covered in the course.
この演習では、憲法判例を原文で読む。読む判例の数よりも、読み方の質を重視する。従って、1つの判例の研究に複数回を要することもある。また、対象判例の理解に有益と思われる文献（例えば、判例評釈、調査官解説、論文）も扱う。
各回において、報告者を指名して、判例又は文献の要約を行ってもらう。報告者は、レジュメを書き、報告を行う。
In this course, we will read some constitutional cases in the original text.
