Globalization has provoked a heated debate even in philosopher's world. For instance, what do we owe to the poor in the developing countries? Is it our moral obligation to accept more immigrants? Now lots of legal and political philosophers are now tackling with those global issues from philosophical point of view. The aim of this seminar is to read and understand contemporary philosophical literatures on global justice. On top of that, I expect students to develop their skills at critically understanding philosophical texts.
In each class, a presenter make a presentation about an assigned chapter or section. Other students also need to read the chapter or section in advance. After the presentation, we discuss about the reading assignment and the presentation.

グローバル化は、哲学の世界にも論争を惹起してきている。たとえば、私たちは途上国の貧困層にどのような義務を負っているのだろうか？移民をもっと受け入れることは私たちの義務なのだろうか？いまや多くの法哲学・政治哲学者が、このようなグローバルな問題に取り組んでいる。本演習では、グローバルな正義論の基本文献を精読し理解することを目標とする。それを通じて、哲学文献を批判的に理解する能力を涵養することも目的としている。

毎回、担当者を決めて、文献の対象部分の内容を報告してもらいます。他の参加者も文献は読んできてもらいます。その上で、全員で議論する形でゼミを進めます。
