【Course Objectives】

This course will make students understand the vague image of a volunteer as a specific image through several examples. Also, by thinking about volunteering, students will become aware of the points of contact between themselves and society, and will become able to think about social problems with their own mind and connect this to actual actions. Then, students will express volunteer experiences in their own words and become able to think about their career development.

【Course Contents】

Since 2020, the issue of new coronavirus infections(COVID-19) has forced changes in interpersonal relationships in the community. This time, new values and activities are required to aim for a "society where many citizens can live together" in the Corona disaster. Students will consider volunteering from various aspects, including messages from people active in the field, from various viewpoints such as disasters, overseas support, and social contribution activities of companies as well as daily activities, not only from the party providing the volunteers but also the feelings of those receiving support, and will develop the ability to actively capture social issues from their own perspectives.
