【Course Contents】

As the world has become more and more complex, we need to be equipped with the skills and the mindset to provide innovative solutions to complex problems and thrive amidst ambiguity. Climate change, political instability, and societal changes all require us to create unique solutions to problems together with people from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. As such, it is imperative that you are exposed to multidisciplinary ways of working already during your studies so that you can discover the richness and pleasure of working with others from diverse backgrounds.

Content-wise this course presents a cutting-edge theme since, to the best of our knowledge, combining organizational knowledge (OKC) creation theory and design thinking has not been covered before. Thus, this course illustrates how these two domains can be brought together by focusing on a real-life project, and similarly this course also focuses on providing you with tools and methods for integrating these two domains. More specifically, organizational knowledge creation theory focuses on envisioning possible futures through leadership while design thinking zooms in on designing human- and planet-centric products, services, and systems. More importantly, however, both domains focus on the intersection between innovations and what is “good life”, and that is why this course would be highly relevant for anyone, regardless of your disciplinary background.
