Students will learn about the global challenges indicated by the SDGs and deepen understanding of the efforts of corporations and NGOs to solve these issues. Based on the activities and practices introduced by guest speakers, students acquire the knowledge, skills, and mindset to view social issues as their own and participate in the creation of a sustainable society.
Guest speakers from corporations, NGO/NPOs, and local governments working on actions to solve global issues will introduce activities on the front lines. In each session, students will understand how our lives are connected to the situations of people who are vulnerable due to climate change, conflict, exploitation, and other reasons. In addition, through the discussions and suggestions posed by the guest speakers, the class will examine the SDGs from various perspectives and explore actions that each of us can take to realize a society where "no one is left behind" as stated in the SDGs.

SDGsが示す地球規模課題について学ぶとともに、それらの課題の解決をめざす企業やNGOの取り組みについて理解を深める。ゲストスピーカーが紹介する活動や実践例をもとに、社会課題を自分ごととして捉え、持続可能な社会づくりに参画するための知識、スキル、マインドセットを習得する。

地球規模課題の解決のためのアクションに取り組む企業、NGO/NPO、地方自治体からゲストスピーカーが登壇し、最前線の活動を紹介する。各回の授業では、気候変動、紛争、搾取などの理由により脆弱な立場に置かれる人々の状況と、私たちの暮らしがどのようにつながっているかを理解する。また、ゲストスピーカーが投げかける問いや提案から、SDGsを多角的に考察し、SDGsが掲げる「誰一人取り残さない社会」の実現に向け、ひとりひとりが取り組めるアクションを探る。

SDGsと現代社会の課題の実際や取り組み方について考える力を身に付けられるよう、各回の内容に則した簡単なレポート（リアクションペーパー）に取り組む。

・講義初回オリエンテーション、イントロダクションに出席すること。ゲストスピーカーの調整のため順序等の変更の可能性がある。
※この科目は立教サービスラーニング（RSL）科目群のひとつである。
・立教大学ではミックス型授業（対面授業をオンライン配信併用で実施する授業形態）の活用可能性を検証するため、2023年度開講の本科目をミックス型でパイロット実施する。
対面・オンラインどちらの形態で受講するかについては、予め履修登録時点で選択のうえ、その希望に応じた科目コードで履修登録すること。一度選択した授業形態以外での参加は認められない。オンラインで参加した場合は、欠席とみなされる。オンラインでの履修を希望する場合はFB089を参照のこと。
なお、授業内で授業方法に関する調査等へ協力をお願いすることがある。
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
