In order to maintain good health, it is necessary to have detailed knowledge about one’s own body and the various diseases that occur in it. In this course, the students will have better understanding of the structure and functions of the human body, which is essential to study health. In addition, they aim to acquire the basic knowledge about the mechanism of diseases and their prevention and treatment methods.
1. Lecture will be given on the structure of the human body and the mechanism of maintaining health.
2. Mechanisms of representative diseases and their prevention and treatment methods will be introduced.
3. Some examples of life-related ethical issues will be examined.

健康維持のためには己の体とそこに生じる様々な疾病について詳しく知ることが必要である。そこで本授業ではまず健康を考える上で必要不可欠な人体の構造と機能への理解を深める。また、疾病のメカニズムとその予防方法・治療方法についての基礎知識を身に付けることを目標とする。

1. 人体の構造と健康を維持する仕組みについて講義する。
2. 代表的な疾病についてそのメカニズムと予防方法・治療方法を紹介していく。
3. 生命に関する倫理的問題についてもいくつか検討する。
