【Course Objectives】

This “Science of Mind” course aims to develop a better understanding of cognitive psychology by investigating recent research trends on high-level cognitive processing, such as humans’ ability to recall scenes from nature, language comprehension, problem solving, judgement and decision making, from an interdisciplinary point of view.

【Course Contents】

Cognitive psychology focuses on exploring the mechanism of human awareness and its “wonder.” It is a core approach in modern psychology, resulting in significant progress in research on human cognitive processes and knowledge structures. This course mainly focuses on high-level cognitive processes (memory, language, and thought processes). However, it is not limited by a narrow framework but rather actively introduces research in related fields like psychophysiology, clinical psychology, information behavior psychology, social psychology, and consumer behavior psychology.
