By the end of the course, students will be able to:
(i) discuss different aspects of individual differences in human psychology;
(ii) in a pair, prepare and present a poster synthesizing personal information about individual differences in various life areas;
(iii) in a group, prepare and present an interactive workshop focusing on one individual difference area;
(iv) write short essays that combine personal, theoretical and research information on various aspects of individual differences.
This course will introduce a range of individual differences in human psychology, in particular regarding additional language learning. Drawing on theoretical perspectives and personal experiences, students will be encouraged to consider such dimensions as personality, identity, beliefs and agency, motivation, and emotions.
