【Course Objectives】

Students will study the presence of material chemistry in daily life and also develop interests in the materials and the principles of chemistry.

【Course Contents】

From the perspective of material chemistry, we can recognize all the things, including living things, as the aggregates of atoms and molecules. The purpose of this course is to consider the technologies and problems facing modern society and also to develop interests in the material chemistry and principles of chemistry. The course deals with the air, ozone layer, global warming, energy and chemistry in society, water, acid rain, nanotechnology, polymers, intermolecular force, molecular recognition, and liquid crystals.
