By learning the basic movements and steps of dance, the students will acquire how to control their own body and how to express themselves freely.
In addition, the students may experience the joy of dancing by combining each basic movement and performing simple choreography.
For beginners of dance, this lesson starts with experiencing the basics of dance (isolation, rhythm training, steps), and learns dance by simple combination movements and choreography movements. In this class, the students will practice and present dance choreography for each group.

ダンスの基本動作やステップを体験し習得することによって，自身の身体のコントロール方法や，自由な表現方法を身につける。
また，それぞれの基本動作・ステップの組み合わせや簡単な振り付けを行うことによって，ダンスの楽しさを体験する。

ダンス初心者を対象に，ダンスの基礎（アイソレーションやリズムトレーニング，ステップ動作）を体験することから始め，簡単な組み合わせ動作や振付動作によるダンスを習得する。グループに分かれ，グループごとにダンスの振付を実践し発表する。

ダンス経験は問わない。
室内シューズと動きやすい服装で参加すること。
第一回の授業から実技を行うので着替えを持参のこと。
１．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
２．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
３．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
４．感染対策には最大限配慮を行うが，完全に防ぐことはできないので，よく考えて受講すること。
