Through lectures and practices related to handball, students will improve their exercise skills and experience the joy of handball. In addition, we aim to improve sports personality and communication skills through handball, which is a team sport.
Lectures use about one-third of the class time and explain the history, rules, and basic techniques and tactics of handball. In the practical training, after warming up and training in basic techniques and tactics so that even beginners can play handball safely and enjoyably, we will focus on games.

ハンドボールに関する講義と実践を通して、ハンドボールの運動技術を高めると共にその楽しさに触れ、現在の体力向上・健康増進のみならず、生涯に渡った運動習慣のきっかけづくりを図る。加えて、チームスポーツであるハンドボールを通して、スポーツパーソンシップやコミュニケーション能力の向上を目標とする。

講義は授業の3分の1程度の時間を使い、ハンドボールの歴史やルール、基本的な技術・戦術について解説する。実技では、ハンドボール初心者でも安全に楽しく行うことができるよう、ウォーミングアップや基礎技術・戦術のトレーニングを行った後、ゲームを中心に実施する。

１．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
２．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
３．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
４．感染対策には最大限配慮を行うが，完全に防ぐことはできないので，よく考えて受講すること。
