The goals of this course are as follows.
(1) To acquire the German language skills to express one's own opinions on a variety of everyday topics and to respond appropriately to the opinions of others.
(2) To acquire the basic skills to formulate one's own thoughts and opinions appropriately and to speak logically.
(3) To develop a flexible stance and attitude toward a wide variety of senses of values and ways of thinking by viewing a certain matter objectively and from multiple perspectives like Japanese-German comparative perspective.
This course focuses specifically on training for speaking and presentation, while developing overall proficiency in the use of the German language. Students learn expressions for exchanging opinions on cultural, social, and current topics, as well as strategies for discussion. Suitable for students who wish to or have studied abroad.

授業ではグループワークなどを中心に行うので、履修者の積極的な活動への参加が求められます。映像・音声資料を使用することもあります。科目のレベルは独検3級以上，あるいはGoethe-Zertifikat B1以上に相当します。
課題へのフィードバックは随時授業内外で行います。
留学未経験者でコミュニケーション力に不安を覚える学生は，ネイティヴ・スピーカーの教員による「上級ドイツ語ライティング」科目も開設されているので，選択肢として検討してください。
母語話者は履修してはならない。単位修得できないため注意すること。
この科目の目標は次の３点です。
（１）日常の様々な話題について学習者自身の意見を表明し、また相手の意見に対して適切に応答するドイツ語力を身に付けること
（２）自身の考えや意見を適切に組み立て、論理的に話すための基礎を身に付けること
（３）ある事柄について日独比較の視点から多角的かつ客観的に捉えることで、多種多様な価値観や考え方に対して柔軟に向き合う姿勢や態度を養うこと
