No Japanese language proficiency level is required in order to take this course. The course objectives are to deepen your knowledge with regard to the meaning of kanji characters and usage of kanji vocabulary, and to acquire the ability to read and write kanji; with the overall objective of expanding your kanji vocabulary.
Learning Kanji by using the reading materials relating each student's fireld. Students are going to study Kanji and introduce Kanji vocabularies to other students.

履修(りしゅう)のための日本語(にほんご)レベルは問(と)わない。漢字(かんじ)語彙(ごい)の拡充(かくじゅう)を目的(もくてき)として,漢字(かんじ)の意味(いみ),漢字(かんじ)語彙(ごい)の使(つか)い方(かた)に関(かん)する知識(ちしき)を深(ふか)めるとともに,読(よ)んだり書(か)いたりする力(ちから)をつける。

学部（がくぶ）が指定（してい）する専門書（せんもんしょ）などを活用（かつよう）し，漢字学習（かんじがくしゅう）を行(おこな)う。また，立教(りっきょう)漢字(かんじ)検定(けんてい)のテキストを用（もち）いた入学前課題（にゅうがくまえかだい）の確認（かくにん）として漢字（かんじ）クイズを行（おこな）う。
