1) Learning basic information on regional and environmental economics.
2) Be able to consider some issues of regional economy in terms of natural resources and tourism.
3) Adapting the acquired knowledge in practice.
In this course, students will study fundamental theories and analytical methods of regional economics.
In particular, I will offer specific topics such as regional development, population, economic agglomeration, and the relationship between the region and environment or tourism resources using statistical analysis. Students will understand the issues in urban and local economies and consider policies contributing to regional economies.

地域経済学の基礎理論及び分析方法を学び、地域間の経済構造の理解を深める。特に、地域の発展、人口と集積、地域と自然環境や観光資源との関わりを知り、統計的な分析手法についても学ぶ。都市も含めた一般的な地域と、ローカルとしての地域の問題点を理解し、地域の今後の発展に資する政策について考察する。
In this course, students will study fundamental theories and analytical methods of regional economics.
In particular, I will offer specific topics such as regional development, population, economic agglomeration, and the relationship between the region and environment or tourism resources using statistical analysis. Students will understand the issues in urban and local economies and consider policies contributing to regional economies.

地域経済学は経済学の分野でも応用分野に該当するため、経済学の予備的知識が必須である。そのため、関連文献や新聞記事などをよく読み、予備知識を習得しておくこと。
講義内で理解が不十分だった箇所や、より掘り下げたい内容について各自で調べること。
