This Internship is a program to learn the practical, on-site tourism business and community activity. Through work experience in companies related to tourism, such as travel agency, hotels, transportation (airline, railway etc.), and seeing various efforts at local sites being created around the country, we aim to provide students with the opportunity to acquire “on-site power” in regions and companies supporting tourism. Students will also be expected to reflect deeply on the valuable insights gained through their internship experience and acquire the ability to express them understandably.
This internship program consists of preliminary study program, retrospective review and summary of results, focusing on practical training in companies and regions during the 3rd year summer vacation period. In Fall semester, we will review each student’s experience, summarize the results, and share issues with your classmates. Through such a process, we will highlight what was learned in College of Tourism over two years in practice, while deepening consideration on one’s own career path, and identify issues to be studied from now on entering the society.

観光インターンシップは，観光ビジネスや地域づくりの現場で実践的に学ぶプログラムです。旅行・ホテル・交通（航空・鉄道等）など，観光ビジネスを担う企業での就業体験や，全国各地の地域づくりの現場で様々な取り組みを体験し，観光を支える企業や地域の“現場力”を肌で感じるこを大きなねらいとしています。これらの経験を通じて得た貴重な多くの知見や課題について深く考察し、分かりやすく伝える能力の獲得も目指します。

観光インターンシップは，３年次の夏休みに行われる企業や地域での実習を中心として，事前の準備学習，事後のふりかえりと成果のまとめからなっています。実習を終えた秋学期には，それぞれの体験をふりかえり，成果をまとめ，課題を共有していきます。こうしたプロセスを通じて，２年間観光学部で学んだことを実践の場に照らし合わせ，一層深めるとともに，自らのキャリア形成について考えながら，社会に出ていくまでの間にさらに学ぶべき課題を発見し，新たな学びに結びつけていきます。

実習が終わっても気を抜かず，しっかりと実習をふりかえり，得たもの，達成できなかったこと，これから取り組むべき課題などを確認しましょう。皆さんのご指導・お世話をしてくださった実習先の方々は，皆さんの成果報告を楽しみにしています。感謝の気持ちを忘れず，きちんとした成果報告ができるよう，真摯な態度で取り組んでください。
本科目は、インターンシップや学外活動等の実践的な学びを中心に構成する授業である。
