With the goal of understanding tourism phenomena from the tourist’s perspective, we will study human behavior and psychology mainly in tourism and recreational settings. Students will also learn knowledge and basic skills necessary for third year seminars.
Students will gain basic skills and knowledge of tourism and recreational settings in order to become “Talented personnel with a high level of scholarship in a wide range of tourism-related fields with comprehensive judgment sufficient to solve various problems and provide superior leadership,” as described in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management curriculum organization policy.
We will read a wide range of literature and materials that reference survey research on tourism behavior and psychology, and conduct fieldwork. In addition to the topics for each class, students will be assigned regular presentations and time will be given for discussion. I plan to hold activities such as fieldwork, camp, etc. outside of class, and as a rule, these activities will be conducted jointly with participants in other years in Hashimoto Seminar.

観光者の立場から観光現象を理解することを目的とし、主に観光レクリエーション場面における人間の行動や心理について学習する。また、3年次以降に展開される演習に必要とされる知識および基礎的なスキルを習得する。
観光学科の教育課程編成方針に掲げる「観光関連分野に関する広範囲で高度な学識を持ち、諸問題の解決を担う総合的な判断力と優れたリーダーシップを備えた有為な人材」になるため、観光レクリエーション場面における基礎的な知識・スキルを身につける。

観光行動・心理の調査研究に参考となる幅広い領域の文献の講読を行う。参加者には，毎時間の課題に加え，定期的な発表を義務づけ，討議の時間を設ける。フィールドワークや合宿その他の活動は，原則として橋本ゼミナール他学年の演習参加者と合同で行う。
