Students will understand the phenomenon of tourism from the perspective of human behavior and psychology mainly in the tourism recreation setting, and will learn specialized knowledge and survey methods that are necessary for tourism research in order to apply that knowledge to tourism recreation planning and service provision settings.
Students will learn specific methods for tourism research by reading specialized literature and materials in the above areas and conducting fieldwork. In addition to the topics for each class, students will be assigned regular presentations and time will be given for discussion.
I plan to hold activities such as fieldwork, camp, etc. outside of class, and as a rule, these activities will be conducted jointly with participants of the instructor’s seminars in other years.

主に観光レクリエーション場面における人間の行動や心理の視点から観光現象を理解し，それらの知見を観光レクリエーション計画やサービス提供場面での対応等に応用するための専門的な知識，観光調査を進めるうえで必要とされる調査技法を習得する。

上記の専門領域の文献・資料の講読ならびにフィールドワークを通じ，観光調査の具体的な方法を習得する。参加者には毎時間の課題と定期的な発表を義務づけ，参加者相互による討議の時間を設ける。
授業以外にもフィールドワークや合宿その他の活動を行う予定であり，これらの活動は原則として担当者による他学年の演習参加者と合同で行う。
