This course is designed for students to learn liberal humanity (critical theory) as a theory of tourism humanities for interpreting phenomena related to cultural exchange. This year’s course will focus on the post Deconstruction as a clue as post humanities in order to decipher the narrative of tourism. The aim of this course is for students to understand the theoretical aspects of the exchange literature-related subjects of the College of Tourism, which is the comprehensive basis for their undergraduate studies.
Critical theory is the basis for academic perspectives and intellectual thought, a vital means to understand university courses. Many instructors base their courses on the theories. Therefore, in tourism studies, in which dynamic and practical topics and ideas are often cited without explanation, the theories are essential to anticipate the logic of the paradigm and develop a correct understanding of discussions.

文化の交流にかかわる現象を読み解くための観光人文学理論として、リベラルヒューマニティ（批評理論）を学ぶ。今年度は、観光という物語を読み解くため、ポスト・ポスト構造主義としての新実在論までを手がかりに、批評理論を総合的に扱う。本講義は観光学部の交流文学系科目の中でも、大学の学び全体の基礎となる理論面の習得を目標としている。

批評理論はアカデミックな見方・考え方の基礎であり、大学の講義を理解するためのポイントである。多くの教員はこうした理論を踏まえて講義しており、動的で応用的な内容が断りなしに登場する観光研究において、話の組み立てを予測し、正しく理解するために欠かせないリテラシーである。

教室対面を中心にオンライン（録画配信）を組み合わせた講義だが、テキストを手元の置き、各回の該当部分に目を通し、わからない箇所や気になった箇所に印をつけておくこと。オンライン（録画配信）では必ずV-Campus IDでZoomにSSOサインインして視聴履歴を残し、講義や視聴後は次の授業前までに学習管理システムへリアクションペーパーを投稿する。
