This course aims to consider the following: What is anthropology? What is a museum? In this course, which has a seminar/training format, students analyze the “Little World Museum of Man” (Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture), an academic anthropological museum and tourist facility.
After taking introductory courses and visiting Little World's outdoor exhibitions, main buildings, and repositories, each student selects one of the ethnic groups from around the world whose residential buildings, etc. have been relocated and restored at Little World and make a presentation including ethnographic data, while taking into account their own tour experiences.
Note: Visits to Little World will be scheduled for weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from late October to early November.Only students who can participate in this two-day workshop can enroll in this course.

学術的な人類学博物館であると同時に観光施設でもある ｢野外民族博物館リトルワールド｣ (愛知県犬山市) を解剖しよう｡人類学とは何か，博物館とは何か，民族文化とはどのようなものとして表象されるのか，について実践的・自省的に考えることを目指した，演習・研修旅行型の専門的授業科目です｡
This course aims to consider the following: What is anthropology? What is a museum? In this course, which has a seminar/training format, students analyze the “Little World Museum of Man” (Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture), an academic anthropological museum and tourist facility.
「ライティング・カルチャー」論（民族誌論）や「近代的な芸術・文化システム」論に関する導入的授業，リトルワールドの野外展示・本館展示・収蔵庫の見学（研修旅行）に加えて，リトルワールドに住居建築等が移築・復元されている世界各地の諸民族の中から履修学生各人が１つを選んで，民族誌的データの提示を含む発表を行います。＜リトルワールド研修は10月下旬～11月上旬の週末2日間を予定していますが、コロナ禍の状況を見ながら研修の有無や時期を慎重に判断します＞＜人類学領域の授業やゼミを履修済や履修中など，人類学研究や博物館展示に強い関心を持つ学生の履修を歓迎します＞＜厳格な管理が行われている博物館収蔵庫に入ることのできる人は，その立場も人数も限られます。収蔵庫に強い関心がありながら、これまで中へ入る機会に恵まれなかった学生の履修を歓迎します＞

リトルワールド発行の雑誌『リトルワールド』『リトルワールド研究報告』や千里文化財団 (国立民族学博物館) 発行の雑誌『季刊民族学』など各種の資料を用意しますが，自分が担当して授業内発表をする地域・民族に関する民族誌的データの収集には自らも積極的に取り組んで下さい｡ リトルワールドのホームページや，授業担当者が執筆した以下の小エッセイ：観光学部雑誌『交流文化』06号中の ｢リトルワールドと人類学的営み｣ ，16号中の「【見せたい】と【見たい】をつなぐ：博物館展示は誰のためにあるのか？」，同16号の「＜文化収集の思想＞には当てはまらないモノたち：博物館リトルワールドのバックヤードから見えること」に予め目を通して，自らにとっての授業履修の意義を判断して下さい｡ 雑誌『交流文化』は観光学部のホームページで読むことができます。
