Focus on the technical aspects of quantitative research and understand the process from survey planning and design to data collection and analysis.
In this class, basic methodologies for data collection will be explained, including survey planning and design, types of quantitative surveys (e.g., interview, retention, and mail methods), theories and methods of sampling, precautions in preparing survey forms, and actual survey procedures. Lectures and exercises will also be given on the cleaning of collected data, methods of analysis (mainly bivariate), and interpretation and presentation of analysis results.

量的調査の技法的側面に注目し、調査の企画・設計からデータの収集、分析に至るまでのプロセスを理解する
Focus on the technical aspects of quantitative research and understand the process from survey planning and design to data collection and analysis.
この授業では、調査の企画・設計、量的調査の種類（面接法、留置法、郵送法など）、サンプリングの理論と方法、調査票を作成する際の注意点、実査の手続きなど、データ収集のための基本的な方法論について解説する。また、収集したデータのクリーニング、分析方法（主に2変量）および分析結果の解釈と提示の仕方について講義、演習を行う。
