We will study the diversity of regional nature and culture, regional differences, and the unique characteristics of an area, while acquiring field survey skills.
Students will independently conduct research on topics chosen themselves, as well as planning and producing reports, while empirically studying the overall process of field research. We will consider the location and regional make-up, along with regional transformation, tourism area and activities, visitor profiles and area, with specific social phenomena as the object of research. The second half will cover the following:

地域の自然・文化の多様性や地域差，地域の個性を具体的に調査することによって，地域調査のスキルを修得する。
We will study the diversity of regional nature and culture, regional differences, and the unique characteristics of an area, while acquiring field survey skills.
研究テーマの設定から調査の企画，報告書の作成に至るまで，学生が自主的・主体的に行いながら，地域調査の全過程を体験的に学習する。具体的な社会現象を研究対象として，立地や地域形成，地域変容，観光圏と観光行動，客層と集客圏などを考えていく。後期は，夏休みに実施したフィールドワークに基づいて以下を実施する。

授業時間外に, グループのメンバー同士で討論を交わして, 研究方法から資料収集と分析, 配付資料とスライド作成, プレゼン技術, 論文執筆にいたるまで, 自分たちの型を見出しつつ実行する｡ 学期末には, 論文を執筆し, 論文集を出版する。
