【Course Objectives】

This intermediate seminar designed for juniors will be a continuation of a better understanding of the fundamental aspects of tourism and its relation with society and culture through engaging with fieldwork experienced in the spring semester. Students will independently conduct field research on topics chosen themselves related to, but not confined to, “tourism and socio-cultural change” and summarize and present the preliminary results for further improvement. The seminar also aims to improve students’ English and academic skills.

【Course Contents】

In Seminar 3B, students will first organize the data collected from the field. Students will then interpret and summarize the data, and communicate the findings for further improvement through presentation and report, so that the results can be turned into a 4th year graduation research and or thesis.
