【Course Objectives】

Reading texts written in English and learning study methods, as well as theories, concepts, terminology, study cases typical to psychology.

【Course Contents】

Students will learn practical know-how for research papers (compact editions) with the prerequisite that students took and mastered the introductory disciplines of the Department of Psychology, "Introduction to Psychology 1 & 2" and "Psychological Statistics 1 & 2". In order to provide smooth transition to "Research Methods in Psychology" and "Seminar on Psychology", which are disciplines in development and completion phases, students learn about research plan and improve their skills of reading English-language literature. Also, reading academic papers in English is the basis of the free elective subject "Seminar on English Reading in Psychology". The contents of psychological research during reading class will be from a wide range of field including social, perception, memory, and clinical psychology.
