Learning and understanding how to prepare and conduct questionnaire surveys, surveys by interviewing, accumulate data, and write reports pertaining to the field of psychology from practical experience.
Students do practical training in small groups with the guidance of their instructors. The contents of the practical training are conducting and analyzing questionnaire surveys, designing psychological scales, semi-structured interviews, affinity diagrams (KJ Method).
This class comes in pair with "Practice in Psychological Experimental Methods 1" class. Students who took "Practice in Psychological Experimental Methods 1A" in spring semester take "Practice in Psychological Research Methods 1A" in the fall semester, while those who took "Practice in Psychological Experimental Methods 1B" in fall semester take "Practice in Psychological Research Methods 1B" in the spring semester. The contents of 1A and 1B classes are the same.
Also, in each semester, "Practice in Psychological Research Methods 1" and " Practice in Psychological Research Methods 2" are administered as a series of " Practice in Psychological Research Methods" course. Students are thus required to take both " Psychological Research Methods 1" and " Psychological Research Methods 2" in the spring or fall semester.

心理学における質問紙調査，面接調査の計画や実施，データのまとめ方，報告書の作成に関して，具体的な体験を通して理解し，習得する。
Learning and understanding how to prepare and conduct questionnaire surveys, surveys by interviewing, accumulate data, and write reports pertaining to the field of psychology from practical experience.
少人数の班に分かれてインストラクターの指導下で実習をおこなう。実習内容は質問紙調査の実施と分析，心理尺度の開発，半構造化面接，KJ法などである。
この授業は「心理学実験実習１」と対になっており，「心理学実験実習1(A)」（春学期）履修者は秋学期に「心理学調査実習１(A)」を，また「心理学実験実習1(B)」（秋学期）履修者は春学期に「心理学調査実習１(B)」を履修することになる。１(A)と１(B)の授業内容は同じである。
また，各学期において，「心理学調査実習1」と「心理学調査実習2」は一連の「心理学調査実習」科目として運営される。したがって，各学期において「心理学調査実習1」と「心理学調査実習2」を共に履修することとなる。

準備学習として，最低限，要領書の該当箇所にあらかじめ目を通しておくことが必要である。さらに，毎週のレポートをまとめるために実習後のデータ分析，参考文献の検索と学習は必須である。
