All students are required to construct a research plan of an experimental study regarding developmental psychology. They are also needed to learn knowledge and techniques specialized for experimental research in developmental psychology.
In the first half of this course, each of the students presents a research plan in accordance with their research interests. The research plan will be brushed up via discussion in an every-week seminar. In the second half of this course, all students prepare apparatus, stimuli, protocols for research, etc, to achieve their research plans, and after then conduct some pilot experiments. All students must make and submit a term paper reporting the results of the pilot research.

自身の関心に基づいて、実験的手法に基づいた発達心理学研究の計画を完成させるとともに、その研究の遂行に必要な専門的知識・技術を身につける。
All students are required to construct a research plan of an experimental study regarding developmental psychology. They are also needed to learn knowledge and techniques specialized for experimental research in developmental psychology.
授業期間の前半では、自身の興味・関心に応じて発達心理学的実験の計画を立案・発表する。発表内容について履修者全員で議論を行い、研究計画の修正・改善を行う。授業期間の後半は、各自の研究計画に準じて、装置・刺激の作成など実験実施に向けての準備を行い、完了次第予備実験を実施し、その成果をレポートにまとめる。

研究計画の立案、それにかかわる先行研究のサーベイ、実験刺激・装置の準備や作成といった諸作業は、授業時間内だけで完結することはまずありません。授業内での取り組みに加えて、授業時間外にも各自で自主的かつ積極的に作業をすすめるようにしてください。
