【Course Objectives】

 Students taking this course will learn the impact of social and societal environments in human behaviors.

【Course Contents】

 Human-beings do not think and behave in a social vacuum. They are strongly influenced by their social and societal surroundings, but hardly recognize the influence. This ignorance sometimes causes a social discrimination. During this course, students will learn ideas regarding the origin of social nature of human beings. Based on the ideas, students also will learn theories and empirical evidences regarding social influences on judgments, social and societal influences on well-being, and impacts of family socio-economical status on educational and vocational attainment.
