Acquiring basic knowledge on various theories and methods of psychological treatment as methods of psychological support. Promoting understanding of people and acquiring knowledge useful for daily human interactions.
Students learn about fundamental ethics of psychological treatment and consideration of privacy as methods of psychological support. They learn about typical psychological treatment and history, concepts, meaning, adaptation and limits of counselling. Theory and methods are taught with the use of published examples and video materials. It provides the skill of looking at psychological treatment as a whole with a wide field of view that exceeds the limits of just one school. Students learn about the meaning of community support such as personal visits. They learn about methods of communication needed to build good personal relationships. They also learn about support to caregivers and those who are related to the people that need psychological support. Also, this course teaches about mental health education.

心理学的支援法としての心理療法の様々な理論や技法の入門的な知識を身につける。人間についての理解を深め、日常の対人関係に役立つ知識を身につける。

心理学的支援法としての心理療法の基礎となる倫理、プライバシーへの配慮について学ぶ。代表的な心理療法並びにカウンセリングの歴史、概念、意義、適応及び限界について学ぶ。理論や技法について、公刊されている事例や映像教材を用いて学ぶ。学派を超えた広い視野で心理療法の全体を相対的に見る視点を身につける。訪問による支援や地域支援の意義について学ぶ。良好な人間関係を築くためのコミュニケーションの方法について学ぶ。心理に関する支援を要する者の関係者に対する支援について学ぶ。心の健康教育について学ぶ。
