【Course Objectives】

A moving-image work exists based on the relationship between the creator and the audience. A piece of work crafted without a sense of focus will fail to sway the emotions of the audience. In order to move the audience, the creator must do a direction in such a way that speaks to the heart.
In this course, students will create a short moving-image work with the audience in mind as a means of examining the meaning behind direction.

【Course Contents】

Through the classes in this course, each student will create and present two short moving-image works.
There are three fundamental rules for this process.
1.Do not deviate too far from the given theme of the work.
2.Adhere to the given length of the work.
3.Complete the work within the given production time frame.
As the audience for each work will be the other students in the course, students will direct their productions with their classmates as the target audience.
During the presentations, students will discuss whether the aim of the direction successfully came through to the audience. This element forms the core of the course.
